There is no single LED display price per square meter. LED display pricing is quoted per project, and the same square meter can be quoted at very different figures depending on pixel pitch, indoor or outdoor construction, cabinet type and the control system. Published per-square-meter prices are supplier references with a stated scope, not a market average.
Key takeaways
- Published per-square-meter references gathered for this page run from roughly $280/m² to $9,500/m², and each figure belongs to one supplier, one category and one stated scope; none of them is a market average (LEGIDATECH; ONE DISPLAY).
- Pixel pitch is the clearest single price lever: IAMLEDWALL lists indoor P2.5 at $600–$800/m² and P1.25 at $1,750–$1,950/m², and states its prices are approximate.
- Indoor is not automatically more expensive than outdoor: LEGIDATECH lists indoor P1.25–P3 at $350–$1,500/m² and outdoor P4–P10 at $280–$950/m².
- A screen-only price is not a project price. LED Controller Store's formula adds the control system, freight, installation fee, tax and other accessories.
- Two price pages referenced here are dated 2016 and 2018; those figures are historical and are not used as current benchmarks.
Why There Is No Single LED Display Price per Square Meter
An LED display, also called an LED screen or LED video wall, is a modular screen built from LED modules and cabinets, and its price per square meter is calculated from a specification rather than read from a price list. LEDVDI's price page, updated December 16, 2025, says LED pricing varies with pixel pitch, configuration and components, certifications, shape and custom design, screen area or order quantity, performance and installation environment. LEDFUL's page, published December 24, 2016, says prices depend on screen type, pixel spacing, LED and chip brands, brightness, IC and power supply, and it labels its own listed prices as references.
Decision rule: treat every published per-square-meter figure as a reference tied to one specification, never as a market rate.
Screen-Only Price vs Complete Project Cost
A screen-only price covers the display itself; the complete project cost adds the control system, mounting structure, freight, installation, tax and accessories. LED Controller Store gives that relationship as a formula: price per square meter × display area + control system + freight + installation fee + tax and other accessories.
The words "per square meter" are only comparable when two quotes use the same inclusion list, so this page keeps the inclusion question in one place instead of repeating it in every section.
How Pixel Pitch Changes the Price per Square Meter

Pixel pitch is the distance in millimetres between the centres of two adjacent pixels, and smaller pitch means more LEDs, more driver ICs and tighter assembly per square meter, so the price rises. IAMLEDWALL's indoor modular price table lists P2.5 at $600–$800/m² and P1.25 at $1,750–$1,950/m², and the page states that its prices are approximate and depend on brand and configuration. LEDVDI's December 16, 2025 reference lists P2.5 at $630–$780/m² in standard configuration and $780–$1,100/m² in high configuration. LEGIDATECH's guide, which states it was updated on 2026-08-25, lists the indoor P1.25–P3 band at $350–$1,500/m².
| Pixel pitch | Category | Published price per m² | Source |
|---|---|---|---|
| P1.25 | Indoor modular | $1,750–$1,950 | IAMLEDWALL (approximate) |
| P1.953 | Indoor rental | $1,300–$2,800 | IAMLEDWALL (approximate) |
| P2.5 | Indoor modular | $600–$800 | IAMLEDWALL (approximate) |
| P2.5 | Indoor, standard configuration | $630–$780 | LEDVDI (December 16, 2025) |
| P2.5 | Indoor, high configuration | $780–$1,100 | LEDVDI (December 16, 2025) |
| P3.91 | Indoor rental | $650–$800 | IAMLEDWALL (approximate) |
| P4–P10 | Outdoor | $280–$950 | LEGIDATECH (updated 2026-08-25) |
Pitch also changes how close viewers can stand to the screen, so the smallest and most expensive pitch is not automatically the right choice for a given room. A led pixel pitch guide covers viewing distance before you commit to a pitch.
Indoor vs Outdoor LED Displays: What Changes the Build and the Cost

Outdoor LED displays add weather protection, higher brightness and heavier cabinet structures for the same pixel pitch, yet the published bands do not show a simple "outdoor costs more" rule. LEGIDATECH's guide, updated 2026-08-25, lists indoor P1.25–P3 at $350–$1,500/m² and outdoor P4–P10 at $280–$950/m². ONE DISPLAY's 2026 guide, dated May 25, 2026, lists indoor entry-level P2.5–P4 at $600–$1,200/m² and outdoor P8–P10 billboards at $350–$950/m².
The two bands cover different pitches and different viewing jobs, which is why they overlap. Decision rule: compare indoor and outdoor figures only at the same pixel pitch, brightness and cabinet specification; otherwise you are comparing two different products, not two prices for one product.
An indoor led display is built for controlled light, close-to-medium viewing distance and permanent installation inside a building. An outdoor led display is built to stay readable in daylight and to tolerate rain, dust and temperature swings, which shows up in cabinet sealing, structural weight and brightness requirements rather than in a single line on the quotation.
Fixed, Rental and Specialty Displays: Different Cost Structures
Rental LED displays add quick-lock hardware, lighter cabinets and touring durability to the cost of the same screen area, because the screen is designed to be assembled and struck repeatedly. LEGIDATECH's guide lists rental P2.6–P4.81 at $650–$1,450/m², and IAMLEDWALL's indoor rental table lists P3.91 at $650–$800/m² and P1.953 at $1,300–$2,800/m². ONE DISPLAY's 2026 table runs from about $350/m² for large-format outdoor billboards to $9,500/m² for ultra-premium COB MicroLED, with indoor, outdoor, rental and specialty categories separated.
COB, or chip-on-board, is an LED packaging method in which the LED chips are bonded directly to the board instead of being packaged into separate lamps, and it sits at the top of ONE DISPLAY's specialty band. Decision rule: transparent screens, LED floor tiles and LED posters are usually quoted per unit or per installed area plus a mounting frame, so a per-square-meter figure for them is not like-for-like with a fixed wall.
MIC Display, a factory established in 2011, designs and produces indoor, outdoor, rental, fine-pitch COB, transparent, LED floor tile and LED poster displays, which is the range a buyer compares when a project mixes fixed and rental elements.
Cabinet Type, Brightness, Weather Protection and Control System
Beyond pixel pitch, four more variables move the price per square meter: the cabinet material and structure, the brightness in nits, the level of weather protection, and the control system that feeds the screen. LEDVDI's December 16, 2025 page attributes variation to configuration and components, certifications, custom shape, performance and installation environment; LEDFUL's December 24, 2016 page names LED and chip brands, brightness, IC and power supply; and MIC Display's FAQ page names pixel pitch, screen size, cabinet structure, brightness and control system.
The configuration effect appears inside a single supplier's own table: LEDVDI prices P2.5 at $630–$780/m² in standard configuration and at $780–$1,100/m² in high configuration, at the same pixel pitch. Decision rule: ask every supplier to state the cabinet material, the brightness in nits, the weather-protection claim and the included control system in writing, because these items decide which of two quotations is actually the lower-cost option for the installed screen.
Sourced LED Display Price References per Square Meter
This table reproduces per-square-meter price references published by the suppliers named in it, keeping each supplier's category, stated scope and date. These are supplier references, not a market average, and they should not be blended into one figure.

LED Controller Store's page (published September 18, 2018) and LEDFUL's page (published December 24, 2016) are recorded here as historical references only and are left out of the comparison above, because their figures were published several years ago.
How to Estimate a Screen-Only Price for Your Area

Multiply the price per square meter by the screen area in square meters, then label the result screen-only, because it leaves out the project items covered in the screen-only versus project-cost section.
- Measure the display width and height in metres and multiply them to get the area in square meters.
- If your dimensions are in feet, convert first: 1 m² ≈ 10.764 ft².
- Choose the table row that matches your category, pixel pitch and configuration, or use your own supplier's quoted rate.
- Multiply area by price per square meter to get a screen-only band.
- Add the project items from the quote checklist before comparing suppliers.
Worked example: a 6 m × 3 m screen is 18 m². Using LEGIDATECH's stated common range of $400–$1,500/m², the arithmetic gives $7,200–$27,000. That is a calculation from one supplier's published range, not a market price and not a MIC Display price.
What to Send a Supplier for a Quote You Can Compare
Send the same specification to every supplier, and require each one to state what the price includes, because a per-square-meter figure is only comparable at identical scope.
- Display width and height in metres, or the target area in square meters.
- Indoor or outdoor installation, and the mounting environment.
- Typical viewing distance and the target pixel pitch.
- Cabinet material, and how modules will be serviced.
- Required brightness, and the weather or light conditions the screen will face.
- Video inputs, and whether a control system or processor is supplied.
- Written confirmation of what is included or excluded: control system, mounting structure, freight, duties, taxes and installation.
- Warranty length and remote technical support terms.
- Quote currency, exchange-rate date and quote validity date.
- How to assess a supplier beyond the quoted price: a led display manufacturer checklist covers the questions that matter at that stage.
Comparing Quotes in Different Currencies and Units
Convert every quote to one price-per-square-meter figure using a single exchange-rate date, convert square feet to square meters at 1 m² ≈ 10.764 ft², and align the inclusion list before comparing. Decision rule: if two quotes differ only by currency or unit, or they differ by inclusion list, they are not yet comparable.
FAQ
What is the price of a 10 ft × 10 ft LED wall display board?
A 10 ft × 10 ft screen is about 3.05 m × 3.05 m, or roughly 9.3 m². The price is that area multiplied by the price per square meter for your chosen pixel pitch and indoor or outdoor build, taken from a sourced reference row. Suppliers do not publish one standard rate for this size.
How much does it cost to install an LED screen?
Published LED price tables rarely state installation as a fixed rate. LED Controller Store's formula lists the installation fee as a separate line alongside the control system, freight, tax and accessories. Ask each supplier to price installation separately, and to confirm in writing whether mounting steel, cabling and commissioning are included.
Why is the same-size screen quoted at two very different prices?
Differences usually come from pixel pitch, indoor or outdoor build, cabinet and control system, and from different inclusion lists. IAMLEDWALL lists indoor P2.5 at $600–$800/m² and P1.25 at $1,750–$1,950/m². Align pitch, build and inclusions before comparing two quotes on the same screen.
Is an LED display priced per square meter, or per panel and cabinet?
Suppliers often quote by area while manufacturing by module and cabinet. The per-square-meter figure is derived from the number of cabinets that fills your screen size, so cabinet dimensions and rounding can shift the final billable area. Confirm the cabinet size and the billable area in the quotation.
If you have the screen dimensions, an indoor or outdoor location, a target pixel pitch and the installation environment, MIC Display can prepare a project-specific quotation instead of a generic rate. Send those details through contact us.
